Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Hi friends, this time I will provide 11 effective tricks for good learning. Hopefully, it will be beneficial :)
Effective Learning Techniques
Sometimes when we study, we feel bored and lazy. This often happens because of haphazard learning methods. Therefore, we must have good and effective learning methods. This text aims to provide tips for effective learning. Here are the steps for effective learning:
1. Make a study plan.
This study plan aims to make our learning organized. As a first step, divide your time in a day according to your needs, and allocate time for studying. Scheduled learning will make it easier to understand lessons.
2. Choose the right study time.
The division of study time is very important because our brains will more easily absorb lessons at certain times. Islam has taught us that good study times are after waking up in the morning and in the evening after afternoon nap. During these times, our brains and bodies are relaxed and ready to receive lessons.
3. Find a comfortable study environment.
A comfortable environment makes the brain work better, thus making lessons easier to digest. Everyone has a different preferred learning environment, depending on individual personalities. Some people like a quiet environment, while others may need to listen to music while studying.
4. Know your own personality.
To make our learning effective and good, we need to understand our own personality. We should know when and how we can study maximally. This will ensure that the learning process is of higher quality.
5. Make small notes.
Create small notes containing the essence of each lesson. By summarizing the study material, we can more easily understand the material we have learned. Small notes also serve to record keywords and things that have been learned but not yet understood.
6. Make conclusions.
Conclusions can be made at the end of the study session without looking at the textbook. These conclusions can be read when preparing for exams, quizzes, and so on. By making conclusions, it will be easier to remember the lessons.
7. Study materials that are still not understood.
To master all the material, we must review the materials that have been studied, especially those that are not understood yet. Reviewing materials that are still not understood can be done by working on exercises in the book. If still not understood, we can ask friends or teachers.
8. Avoid last-minute cramming.
Last-minute cramming means studying all the material that will be tested in just one night. Lessons studied overnight are not immediately processed by the brain. The brain needs a long time to process the material. So say NO to last-minute cramming.
9. Study in groups.
This method is often said to be the most effective because in group studies, the atmosphere is more relaxed. Studying in groups will make it easier to understand lessons because we can ask our groupmates. Group study can be done anywhere, such as at a friend's house, in a café, and so on.
10. Don't forget to take breaks.
Give our brains a break from studying activities, for example, after studying for an hour. Take a break for 5 to 10 minutes with some snacks or a cup of coffee. Resting will relax the brain after studying.
11. Accompany with prayers and charity.
After performing the above steps, don't forget to accompany them with prayers and charity. Prayers can strengthen the soul and bring blessings to our efforts. Prayer and effort always go hand in hand. It's not enough to just pray; we also have to give charity. Charity will make our sustenance flow smoothly.
Those are some effective learning methods that can be done to increase students' learning spirit. With learning, we will become smarter and able to continue our education to higher levels. Therefore, let us always pay attention to our learning methods, so that knowledge becomes easier to obtain and beneficial for ourselves and others.
